AgCarolina Farm Credit is pleased to welcome Allison Rooks, Chloe Magness, Gavin Merlo, Mason Kellum, and Whitley Butler to its 2026 Summer Internship Program
Greenville, NC – May 28, 2026 - AgCarolina Farm Credit welcomes five talented interns to its summer internship program, where they will gain hands on experience in branch lending operations and collaborate on cross-functional initiatives aligned with the cooperative’s strategic vision.
AgCarolina Farm Credit Interns
Allison Rooks
Allison Rooks of Hampstead, N.C., is an agricultural science major at North Carolina State University with minors in crop science, agricultural business management, leadership in agriculture and life sciences, extension education, and science communication. She is eager to learn the lending process from start to finish and build connections within the agricultural community.
Chloe Magness
Chloe Magness of Beaverdam, N.C., is pursuing a degree in agribusiness with a minor in plant science at the University of Mount Olive. She looks forward to gaining a firsthand understanding of the lending process, visiting farms, and supporting North Carolina farm families.
Gavin Merlo
Gavin Merlo of Lumberton, N.C., attends North Carolina State University, where he is majoring in agricultural education. He is excited to connect with industry professionals and gain hands-on experience throughout the internship.
Mason Kellum
Mason Kellum of Jacksonville, N.C., is a business administration major at East Carolina University with a concentration in finance. He looks forward to expanding his knowledge of the business and financial aspects of agriculture while gaining exposure to diverse on-farm operations across the territory of the cooperative.
Whitley Butler
Whitley Butler of La Grange, N.C., is a business administration major at East Carolina University with a concentration in marketing and sales. Having grown up around agriculture, she brings a deep appreciation for the industry and is eager to build relationships with employees and members while learning more about day-to-day operations.
