Fund for Rural North Carolina Corporate Giving

Through the Fund, AgCarolina is committed to enhancing the quality of life and future opportunities for Eastern North Carolina rural residents and their communities in the areas of education, environment, technology, and quality of rural life.

Grants

Association-Directed Grant Program

AgCarolina provides miscellaneous agriculture-related grants of up to $1,000. Examples: FFA and 4-H donations, farm education and safety

Application-Based Grant Program

Application-based grants will be awarded for up to $5,000 per organization per year.  Applications are open until October 15, 2020.

To be considered for funding, grants must align with the Fund's mission as well as at least one of the following four focus areas:

• Education
• Environment
• Technology
• Quality of Rural Life

Grants will be considered for programs only in the 34 counties and geographic areas where AgCarolina Farm Credit conducts business. Grants will be group- or organization-based and generally will not be given to individuals.

Scholarships

We offer scholarships for eastern North Carolina college students who are connected to agriculture and our cooperative.

North Carolina State University - (5) $2,000 scholarships

North Carolina State University Ag Institute - (5) $750 scholarships

North Carolina A&T State University - (2) $2,000 scholarships

University of Mount Olive - (2) $1,000 scholarships

Application deadline is March 31, 2020.  

At-Large - (4) $1,000 scholarships

Community College - (5) $750 scholarships

Application deadline is March 31, 2020. 

FFA - (4) $500 scholarships

Application deadline is March 31, 2020. 

4-H - (2) $500 scholarships

Application deadline is February 1, 2020.

A Cause A Quarter

A Cause A Quarter is a quarterly campaign where employees have the option of donating funds to a non-profit organization voted on by all employees of the association.  In return, participating employees are able to wear jeans each Friday of the quarter in which they participate. Pull for Youth Sporting Clays Event

The annual Pull For Youth sporting clays event is a way AgCarolina Farm Credit gives back to the future of agriculture and our youth.  All money raised is donated to North Carolina’s 4-H and FFA programs. Learn more about getting involved.
